We're an authentic vintage ice cream trike for all your events - large and small. We cater for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, anniversaries, community and charitable events.
East Devon-based, the trike developed from the popular ice cream gelataria in Exmouth opened by Antonio in 2013. The trike began trading in 2017 and has been going strong at many events every year since. We’re available for hire at events in East Devon, Exeter, Mid Devon and South Devon.
The business is operated jointly by lifelong friends Ian, his wife Sue, and Antonio.
ANTONIO’S JOURNEY
Antonio’s is an authentic Italian business. My family’s origins lie in the foothills of the Abruzzo Mountains in southern Italy where my mother Maria grew up in the small rural town of Capistrello, around 50 miles from Rome.
Like many Italians in the post-WW2 period, my mother emigrated from the poverty of southern Italy to a new life in England in 1960. She arrived in Sidmouth with a family of Italians who ran firstly a fish and chip shop and latterly a seafront café where I started working in the summer holidays when 10 years old!
The business developed out of the Exmouth-based gelataria into a totally mobile trike – perfect for your wedding or corporate event.
